Secret Gem of Seattle: Focus Beauty and Brows

Raise your hand if you want to wake up every morning looking and feeling your personal best? Focus Beauty and Brows founder, Christina Chang, has dedicated her life to providing the highest quality of services and products to making that dream a reality. Located in Seattle, Washington and the Bay Area of California, Christina offers cosmetic tattoo services for permanent eyebrows, eyeliner, lips, and removal. This is going to sound generic, but Christina is truly the BEST at and has PERFECTED her craft + is one of the most genuine people I have met. This is why I wanted to spotlight her business as a Secret Gem of Seattle!

One afternoon, I was scrolling through my Facebook feed and saw that my friend had reposted a picture of one of Christina’s amazing brow transformations. I was mesmerized! The brows were beautiful, and I couldn’t imagine waking up with brows like that without at least 45 minutes of playing in my makeup. I immediately clicked on the Focus Beauty and Brow Facebook Page and looked through the rest of her work. All the brow transformations were nothing less than perfect and I was so intrigued.

I reached out to Christina to inquire about her services and now, after a great experience, I too wake up with flawless brows! At this point, multiple family members and friends have all gone to Christina and have nothing but raving review for her and her service.

Something that is very important in customer service is the quality of care you’re given and whether or not you actually feel like your desires are being heard and met. Christina goes above and beyond to provide the service we as consumers crave. Who is Christina and how did she get into doing permanent makeup + changing people’s lives? Let’s ask!

Who is Christina Chang? Founder of Focus Beauty and Brows.

When I asked Christina “Who is Christina Chang?” here was her response. The person whom I have known myself to be for years was a publicly shy, unsure, and unconfident individual. What has changed? Me. My mindset. My FOCUS. About a year ago, I took a leap of faith – quit my 9 to 5 – and went full force into doing brows. Quitting my stable job was scary, but I knew in my heart that corporate world wasn’t for me. I wanted to make others feel beautiful and confident through brows. I was obsessed with brows. My hubby would see me on IG constantly looking at brows. I remember he caught me secretly crying one day as I became torn with decisions to provide for my family or struggle financially. He witnessed my dilemma, and wanted me to be happy, so he pushed me to quit. He told me it was ok that we will struggle a bit, but we will be fine. Just hearing that from him was so encouraging I cried in relief because his support was just what I needed.

What drives me is FOCUSing on my passion and finding any way to fuel this passion because money won’t last—relationships will. My goal is to always FOCUS on my purpose: making my clients happy. I invested more money on trainings to become better. At first, I was spending more than I made, but I reminded myself of my end goal—to create bomb brows. I am so grateful to all my wonderful clients, who have placed their trust in me. Without you guys, I would not have become the educator I am today and focus on teaching my principles to my students. YOU are my purpose! ✨

Well, I think it’s now evident why I feel Christina is inspiring and beautiful, inside and out. There isn’t much more left to be asked aside from “Where is Focus Beauty and Brows located?” and “How do I book a session with Christina, ASAP?” …

Depending on her schedule, Christina is located in SEATTLE, WA at Thanh Salon (320 E. Meeker St. Kent, WA 98030) or the BAY AREA, CA at Salons by JC (43473 Boscell Rd Suite J3 Fremont, CA 94538). There is something on the menu for everyone. Love the attitude from the new management, the beautiful lady (Raevyn) that greets you when you walk in and takes your order, she adds a nice touch. What more can I say? It’s absolutely great food with amazing customer service.”

We asked Terrell and Raevyn a few questions about owning and operating a business.

What is the toughest thing is about running a business? What advice do you have for future business owners?

Raevyn: The toughest thing for me about running a business would be balancing business with having a social life. I stay so busy with everything that I rarely have time for anything else. My best advice for future business owners would be to never give up on your goals or dreams. Always surround yourself with people with genuine energy. Always focus on the positives and put God first, ANYTHING is possible!

What is it like owning and operating a business together and being a couple? Do y’all have any tips for maintaining a healthy work & love balance?

Terrell: It depends on what type of business you’re running; it can make it run really well or sometimes harder. And it really depends on the couple as well. My advice for a good balance would be to make sure you guys also have time separate from each other, so you can miss each other.

Raevyn: It’s extremely hard work and it gets extremely challenging. I just focus on the end goals and supporting Terrell with his goals and ambitions. When you see all the progress you’ve made or how it affects the community in a positive way, it’s rewarding. My tip for maintaining a healthy balance would to just have a good form of communication.

The most important fillet (see what I did there?) I asked Terrell for was their SECRET INGREDIENT.. He responded by stating “my food is special because I prepare everything with passion and I send out every order as if it were my own!” .. Well, there we have it, secret ingredient revealed! You’re welcome. 😉
